Week 06 - 2012

The global stock market rally was having pull back by Greek debt crisis.
If the countries balance sheet in this world were to measure in terms of debts and income like a listed company in the stock exchange, most of them would have force to file for bankrupcy already.
And, this would actually happen.

Google for the movie: Debts As Money 3 in youtube and it explains how this system would collapse.
Or take a look at this USA Debt real time clock http://www.usdebtclock.org/, as it gives a feel of how serious is the matter.

Anyway, to make the the worst, it should carry the market to a higher point so that the weight would be heavier and fall harder eventually. But, for the moment this pull back would likely be another wolf crying that give opportunity for entry.

No one know how significant the pull back would be. Would the market ignore the news or pull back seriously, only the event designer would know, as for public, If not sure stay out.

Interestingly, SPY is bullish in day,week & monthly timeframes despite of the ticking of Debt Clock.

SGD vs USD is getting stronger.

This would attract foreign fund to STI market and fuel it higher.

^STI is in up trend.

It is pretty safe to add little position, though pull back is possible, and pyramid it up and ride to the next level at 3200.

STI Maritime Index is leading.

Pretty safe to pyramid up on this one...

SPY, having only two more trading days to end the month, it appears that the monthly chart is turning green too.

For whatever reaons it might move all those chart up... The clear and present danger about the Euro Zone burst out is still there.

Week 03 - 2012

USA is leading the market and start to get bullish for day and week (yet one more week to confirm the montly chart) .

STI is lagging

Europe is the last in groups...

Shipping in STI is waking up.

My Opinion:

The world economy today is just like the industry... that has gone past the growing phase and at best in the saturation phase, with intense competition, if not declining.

As of today...

The system show a strong trend moving toward US market, while the whole world is lagging behind.

So, the money have to come from some where...

My view is that the money run into EURO in the past Decade is now moving back to US.

Note that investors will ONLY want to invest in country with the appreciating currency...

Will see.

Sector ETFs mainly consist of US sectors. Therefore, underperform the Countries ETF.

Countries and Currencies ETF... Short term wise, only US is lagging, almost all other regions are performing well.

SPY 500 Long term is on sideway, while short term is gaining up momentum.

Singapore ^STI is still having upwards momentum. It should test the 3000 point next week.

China SSE Index is starting to gain strength and moving up. Long term wise is considered as side way.

Industries ETFs: Since the Industries ETFs are of US companies... and US long term is still on down trend... It is a hard time to trend with high probablity as short term is slightly up while long term is down.... If the short term start to fall rapidly, shorting would be a safer bet.

Countries and Currency ETFs
US is lagging.... And US markets is the heaviest weight among all markets.

SNP500: Long term perspective is still on the down trend...

This is one of the strongest country's index. Unfortunately, the capital of the overall market is too small to help in bring up the world.

China SSE Composite index: 000001.SS

Despite the China Government keep affirming that the country is doing good... and housing price continue to climb... The stock market performance is among the weakest at the moment.

Market State End of Week 04 2010

What Trend is that? This would depends on what time frame are you looking at. For a day-trader, there could be a few changes in the trend within a day.

Currently, the world is having a Down Trend on the Daily Time Frame. While on the Weekly time frame, it is now still an Uptrend having some correction.

I finally realized that... with my latest system, supported with engineering theories and backtested data.

Plus lot of mind-reprogramming materials that I have worked on....

Making money from the stock market with a decent income, and with very little system maintaince effort -->

IS ACHIEVABLE!

On the other hand, I had spent, at the end of this month, completely 7 full years in the research to complete my project.

For sure that there are someone smarter than me that can do it with less time.

The next interesting question would be...

When making money is not a challenge, what would you want to do with your life? :-)

Well, many ancient teachers had expressed it in one way or another....

That is... "We exist in order that we may become something more than we are through an inner search for increased awareness." or in short, to pursue a higher consciousness through the spiritual path. :-)

This has proven been true as Warren Buffett made himself one of the richest man by compounding his fund - Berkshire Hathaway - with an average of 20 over percent over the last few decades.

BUT, WHAT IF.... the person do not know how to invest and let the Compound Interest Rate to Work Against Him through INFLATION!!! Click on the following graph to Enlarge and see how different percentage of inflation will erode their buying power over time>

On the other hand, if one can learn to capitalized on this Compound Interest Wonder, he/she can really retire much much early than others can ever imagine, just as shown in the follow chart...

The charts here are organized into daily and weekly time frame for major market index, which is actually trade-able in the form of ETFs. If one can put in just a little effort to figure out the relationships between the chart and indicators, over a short period of time... He or she should find the value inside, at least the backtest data continue to say so.

The following chart shows the list of indices that classify the companies in the Singapore market.

Over here, it just want to highlight a few points on the market capital.

In the STI index (^STI), it consists of only 30 stocks. <-

While in the FTSE ST All-Shares Index (FSTAS), it consist of 257 stocks.

And, of course, the ^STI stocks are included in the FSTAS. One important point to take note is that the ^STI 30 stocks carry up to 75% of the capital weight in the FSTAS. So, for those who are trading mainly the Big Cap (or so call Blue Chip), it is Ok to follow either of the indices. BUT, if someone is trading the small cap or penny stocks, following these indices can lead to disaster result, and here is why... Trap for investor. <-
